– OUR SEASON OF "TAKING OWNERSHIP"
Motto: Have Dominion!

Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Welcome to 2025, our year of Kingdom Dominion!

INTRODUCTION
Bible is a book of principles written about the King, His kingdom, and His citizens.
The above scripture gives a profound insight on 2025, our Year of Kingdom Dominion, a season of taking ownership of kingdom spheres, responsibilities and phases related to our individual careers, callings and areas of influence and responsibilities. It is a calling for us to return to God’s original plan for man.

1. Back to dominion
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion
The Bible teaches that God’s original plan for mankind, is to have dominion on earth, just like our Heavenly father- God Almighty is having dominion in heaven. Mankind is called to corporate dominion on earth over creations of God except man itself.
a) Call to dominion is a call to active responsibility to put the earth in order so it can align with the atmosphere of heaven. Dream of going to heaven only creates passive and inactive Christians who watch evil prevail on earth and do nothing. All it takes for evil to prevail on earth is for the good people to do nothing. God’s goal for us is to impact earth. Heaven is an added-on blessing.
b) Call to dominion is a corporate calling to stop human oppression anywhere we notice it- either you call it slavery, racism or gender oppression between husband and wife. You and I are part of God’s plan to achieve His kingdom dominion on earth and I pray that purpose will become a strong reality in our lives in year 2025.
Early church couldn’t make impact because they think heaven alone is the goal. God placed us on earth to do what He is doing in heaven here
2. Back to God’s image and likeness
Genesis 1:27 (KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them
The requirement for a man in dominion is not left to chance but clearly stated. The mankind God gives dominion is a man created in His image and likeness.
a) To be in God’s Image simply means to be a spiritual being that cultivates the character and attitudes of God. As a follower of Christ, you need to demonstrate His moral character and godly attitude. Can you demonstrate humility like Christ who humbled himself and died a common death on the cross in his service to humanity?
To be in God’s image requires walking with Him intimately.
i) To be imparted by God’s presence and presents, you need intimate relationship with Him (Genesis 41:5-16)
ii) The closer you are to Him, the more powerful you become (John 15:5).
iii) As we walk in the light, we command dominion over darkness (Ephesians 5:8, Isaiah 60:1-3)
b) To act in God’s Likeness. A man in dominion is one that commits action of faith to do exploits for the Kingdom of God. There is no war, sickness or any oppression of the enemy in heaven, so it is our duty to restore heavenly peace and prosperity to mankind and the earth that Jesus died for.
The effectiveness of your work for God depends on your walk with Him.
i) Before you can work for God, you need to work on yourself by walking with Him (Acts 19:14-15).
ii) You need to start taking responsibility for dominion as your personal duty as son of God (Matthew 5:14-16)
iii) To manifest God’s sonship, you need to put your good character and work to action by following the example of Jesus Christ (Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.)
3. Back to Godliness
Romans 8:29 (KJV) For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
Romans 12:2 (NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Battle for dominion is a battle of transformation. Will you conform to Christ image or the one of the worlds? Greatest pressure against believers is the need to conform to the world. That will be area of continuous battle in every believer’s mind.
LEVEL OF DOMINION IS DETERMINED BY LEVEL OF DEDICATION
Romans 8:19 (NIV) For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
There is a need for transformation (in character and being) before manifestation (performance).
We need to change to become change agents. Though we are all corporately called to world dominion, the level of dominion experienced by individual in area of responsibility and influence is personally determined through the person you have become (being) and the exploit you can do with it (doing) and your level of dedication.
a) Involvement (minimum dedication).
Taking partial responsibility leads to mediocrity!
We do not have great people because we are contented with being good people. A little here and there will keep you up and doing but will never land you in the land of greatness. We have good schools, fair relationship, average churches and not great ones because we are contented in participating than taking full ownership which required full commitment.
b) Commitment (Complete dedication).
Taking full responsibility (ownership) leads to greatness!
Making small commitment and doing small exploits will result in small dominion, while making great commitment and doing great exploits will result in great dominion. The difference in exploits level is determined by the level of commitment made to God’s kingdom. There is more in you than the world has seen yet to do more, you need to become more. You need to grow stronger and deeper spiritually in your spiritual walk and development. You need to invest more in your “research and development” and release your new model this year. This Kingdom year is one of vast Bible study, faith fellowship, seminar and conference attendance etc. It is a year of the deep calling to the deep.
INSTRUCTION:
Will you pay the price for dominion?
Our willingness to sacrifice is an indication of our devotion to God. Our salvation is only possible because of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for mankind. Our sacrifice helps to bring that salvation to the dying world- in evangelism, in discipleship, in service etc. Sacrifice means giving to the Lord whatever He requires of our time, our earthly possessions, and our energies to further His work.
CONCLUSION:
Having dominion is a call to march from mediocrity to excellence.
It is a call to change from good people to great people, changing destinies, transforming lives and impacting nations. Taking ownership for the establishment of the Kingdom of God is a passionate call to go beyond involvement (taking partial responsibility) to full commitment (by taking full responsibility).
