Motto: Come Up Here

After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him. Matthew 3:16 (NIV)

In these last days, the church needs open heaven experience more than ever.

Last year was a year of uncertainty. People are till now uncertain about their health, the economy, social reform, the nation, the world. More than ever, we all long for encounters with God under an Open Heaven so that our lives and nations can be impacted in such a way that will advance the Kingdom of God worldwide.

The good news is that God has opened heaven to all saints in this end time.

It is just the right time for the Body of Christ to seek to dwell in the realm of no more limits.

The blessing of Open Heaven

There are so many instances of unusual divine blessing of open heaven documented in the Bible.

1) Open Heaven experience brings a deep revelation of life

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Matt 3:16-17 (NIV)

Jesus’ destiny opened up under an “Opened Heaven” as He encountered the Spirit of God.

The first product of Open heaven is a revelation. Jesus "saw" the spirit of God descending and alighting on Him.

Next thing that followed was God’s confirmation and affirmation, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased.” That incidence marked the beginning of the season of no more limits in His life and ministry.

Every encounter with God brings not only illumination to life's purpose, but also the strength to fulfil such.

2) Open Heaven encounter brings life-changing experiences

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matt 4:1 (NIV)

As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. Acts 9:3-5 (NIV)

Jesus’ 30 years existence shifted for the supernatural after the Open heaven experience.

Jacob had an open heaven experience where he had a vivid dream of a ladder coming down from heaven with angels ascending and descending with God standing at the top of the ladder.

That encounter altered Jacob's life perspective and assignment completely (Genesis 28:13).

An “Open Heaven” encounter converted Saul of Tarsus to Apostle Paul, resulting in his salvation and apostolic call. In Acts 10, when the heaven opened during Peter’s meditation, the apostolic call to go to the Gentiles was given to him by revelation. An Open Heaven encounter is fully certified to also change your destiny today!

3) Open Heaven opens man up to an in-depth relationship with God

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. Revelation 4:1-2 (NIV)

Apostle John was ushered into a greater dimension of relationship with God when he secured a deeper revelation of God’s person and power in an open heaven encounter. That encounter took his relationship with God to the highest level of no return. Jesus Christ already granted us access to heaven through salvation (Matt.4.17).

All we need to do is take the responsibility to commit to a daily walk of faith with the Holy Spirit.

  • Encounter with God demands an in-depth study of His Holy Word.

  • That journey of exploits will demand faith

  • It requires closer bonding and relationship with the Holy Spirit.

  • It will take a lifestyle of praise and worship and a heart outpouring with love for God and His creatures.

As we discipline our flesh through fasting and prayer and build up our inner man, we will continue to witness more of God’s presence manifested in our midst.

4)  Open heaven experience ushers man to the realm of the supernatural

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then [a]His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan. Matthew 4: 23-25 (NIV)

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.” Luke 4:14 (NIV)

Jesus “Open Heaven” encounter ushered Him into the realms of signs and wonders where miracles become the natural order of the day under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. His ministry simply moved from being casual and ordinary to supernatural as Holy Spirit took over His life.

5) Open Heaven encounter shifts man into his calling

In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God. Ezekiel 1.1 (NIV)

Ezekiel’s vision of open heaven ushered him into his callings into the office of a prophet.

After witnessing the manifested dimension of the glory of God in the midst of the four living creatures, his life completely changed, just like his style of worship (Ezekiel 1:26-28).

6)  Open Heaven encounter endows man with supernatural strength and grace

But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Acts 7:55-56 (NIV)

Stephen’s encounter with Open Heaven at point of execution imbued him with not only a renewed strength but also the grace to forgive his merciless murderers. That awesome experience contributed to a later conversion of an insolent onlooker named Saul.

7)  Open Heaven encounter culminates in God’s blessing over His people

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. Deuteronomy 28:12 (NIV)

In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, the Bible confirmed God’s promise to bless any man who aligns himself with His way and direction and observe obediently to follow His instructions and directions. Every time we obey and hearken to the voice of the Lord” and “observe to do His commandments,” the heavens open, and we prosper and are blessed.

When the doors of heaven open, we have free access to God’s unlimited provisions (Hebrews 10:19-20).

Divine Revelation & Human Application

Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:32 (NIV)

Whenever heaven opens, it comes with revelation and illumination capable of causing supernatural exploits.

Yet, it requires a responsible man to act upon God’s promise in order to bring it to pass.

After Jesus Christ secured the revelation of His being at baptism, He went around doing good (Acts 10:38).

That combination of revelation and action took His life and ministry into the realm of supernatural dominion.

Practical application of divine revelation is required to harvest God's promises in this season of "no more limits."

All the wisdom in the Bible and secrets of success in this world will not work for you if you don't.

Faith without work is dead (James 2: 14-26).  Wisdom is the principal thing in the Kingdom of God.

Do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet.

Divine revelation only bears fruits where it is met with the obedience of faith.

Arise and shine!

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Isaiah 60:1-2 (NIV)

Now I pray for you by the integrity of God’s word that your life shall never be the same again!

As you connect with Him in full faith and obedience this year, I pray that God will become closer and more real to you. As you align your life with God’s purpose and willingly partnership with the Holy Spirit in your daily work for God’s Kingdom, I pray that you will continue to enjoy unlimited access to heaven.

May you continue to soar faster, stronger, better and higher from one level of glory into another.

May this year fill you with divine health, wealth, protection and supernatural ability to exercise dominion.

As the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you, you will continue prevail.

This shall surely be your season of “No More Limits” in Jesus mighty name.
