Season of Soaring

Isa.40:28-31 But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

It is the year to take a flight to the mountaintop and do exploits.

It is the year to leave behind the fear of falling and mount up with the thrill of soaring. “This will be a year where the Davids, the Daniels, the Esthers and the Josephs shall arise and advance beyond their limitations and mediocre backgrounds”

God's promise of soaring however is only for believers who will take the personal responsibility to wait upon the Lord. Are you willing to wait upon the Lord this year?

For many years, the Lord has been shifting many things in the supernatural realm. Like the Mother Eagle, the Lord has been preparing His children for the year of elevation. In the recent past, many have suffered exposure to thorns of awakening that the Mother Eagle herself planted to awaken her children from their comfort zone.

Many faithful shall witness the greatest manifestation of His presence, power and provision, this year as God pushes His children to soar. God is flinging open the floodgates of heaven for the remnant believers in all nations across the world (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Why wait upon the Lord?

Prov.24:10 If thou losest courage in the day of trouble, thy strength is small.

Every eagle is created to soar whatever the condition of the environment or its situation. All it needs to soar is the strength.

The purpose of waiting upon the Lord is to renew our strength.

No matter how great, new or expensive a car is, it needs strength (the power) to drive.

Every “More Than Conqueror” believer needs fresh strength from the Lord to prevail over the earthly struggle (Force of Gravity) that operates in the ground level where we live. Though we live in this world, we are not of this world. We are heavenly people.

We are eagles, created to soar both in fight and flight seasons.

All, like eagles, we need to do is to renew our strength always.

The Profits of Waiting Upon The Lord

1) Walk and not faint (Heb. 11:1; Heb.6:12-15)

It takes faith to walk with the Lord. Without faith, it is impossible to please him in any way. Faith is the spiritual means to connect and relate with God.
Anything done without faith is a mere religious exercise. It is  done in vain (Heb.11:6.)

2) Run and not be weary (James 1:2-4; Heb. 10:36)

It is not just enough to start walk with the Lord in faith. We need to endure, persist and persevere in our walk with the Lord to enjoy His promise. Abraham- the Father of Faith - waited for  25 years to enjoy the manifestation of God’s promise ( Rom 4: 17-24.) You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive the promise.

3) Mount up with wings like eagles (Zech.4:6)

It takes the power of God operating in your life to fly. It will not be by your human power or strength alone to fly, you will need the supernatural power of Holy Spirit. Just like your car need the energy from petroleum to fly. Like the psalmist rightly wrote, when the Lord takes over the situation of Zion (the Church), we will marvel just like dreamers (Psalm 126.)

How to Tap into the Supernatural Strength to Soar?

Zech. 4:6 So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.

The power to soar is of the Lord.

However to benefit from it, we need to take foremost, the personal responsibility to walk and run with the Lord. We need to do what is humanly possible to enjoy the supernatural grace ever available in the Lord.

Supernatural elevation simply requires adequate spiritual preparation (2 Tim 2:15).

1) EAT FRESH (Go deeper in the study of the Word of God)

Bible is the food of eagle believers. All the great exploits attained in Hebrews 11 was by faith. Faith, however, comes by hearing the word of God (Rom. 10:17.)

Every athlete and sportsman knows the importance of diet in building strength.

No amount of exercise can culminate into stamina without food. You also need to study well the word of God to show yourself approved for the exploits the Lord has promised His people this year (2 Tim. 2:15.) Every member of the Church is encouraged to benefit from the “Bible in a year study” exercise on the Church’s website.

2) REMAIN HEAVENLY (Cultivate the Praise & Worship Lifestyle)

The joy of the Lord is your strength (Neh. 8:10.) The Lord is calling us to leave the comfort of the earthly realm and shift into the heavenly realm via the spiritual lift of Praise and Worship. Miracles always happen when the terrestrial meets the celestial. Every time praise goes up, the grace of God comes down. You need just to take the responsibility of entering the Gates of Heaven with thanksgiving and never stop till you switch on to praise if enjoying grace is your target (Psalm 100:4.)

3) RENEW STRENGTH (Engage regularly in Fasting and Prayer)

Like eagles, though we are born to soar, we also need to regularly renew our strength. The strength of yesterday is not enough for the race of today and tomorrow.

No matter how powerful your car is, it needs a renewal of power (fuel). Nothing renews a believer’s power like fasting and prayer. Through the instrument of prayer, Prophet Elijah, like many other great men in the Bible did great exploits in his days (James 5:16-17.) Prayer is still a major source of power today.

To soar, you first need to walk and run. Flying is what God helps you to do after you have taken the human responsibility of prevailing over the mundane problems of walking and running. Success does not come by accident.

God will surely play His part when we accomplish our human part.

The wind of God’s power is ever available to carry only the eagles that have renewed their strengths and plunged down into the wind of the Holy Spirit by faith.

Now, I prophesise; that as you renew your strength in the Lord, that you will walk and not faint. You will run and not be weary. As you take time to deepen your intimate relationships with the Lord this year, you will supernaturally soar  in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
